Romantic Hot Tub Getaways for Two in the glorious mid Wales countryside

Romantic Hot Tub Holidays for Two

Welcome to Tynewydd!

Located at our property on the edge of the pretty village of Penybont, our Lodge and Shepherd’s Hut are available for holiday escapes and romantic getaways to the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Here you will find a warm welcome, great accommodation and a peaceful, relaxing place to stay amidst the wildlife of the surrounding area – the perfect base for a couple looking for a romantic break away. We want you to enjoy your time here and hope you choose to come back time and again.

Indulge yourself and relax. Treat yourself to a glass of something cold as you enjoy the view and the peace and quiet or get in the tub and switch on the jets for that Jacuzzi experience – the perfect way to round off a busy day spent exploring!

Penybont village has a popular 18th century coaching inn, The Severn Arms, also the ‘Thomas Shop’ – a restored shop, museum, tea rooms and gallery – and Midway Plants, a garden centre, all worth a visit and just 10 minutes walk from the property.

Tynewydd is ideally placed to explore the mid Wales area. You can easily reach the Radnor Hills, stunning Cambrian Mountains and the Elan Valley with its Victorian dams and wildlife rich countryside.

Walking, cycling, horse riding, birdwatching and fishing can all be enjoyed in the area. There are several leisure centres and golf courses also within striking distance.

Take the opportunity to visit the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells, with its lake and parks or go walking from one of the pretty country villages surrounding this area, such as Abbeycwmhir, Llanyre and Nantmel.

A number of pretty towns are within striking distance and well worth visiting. Rhayader, situated on the banks of the River Wye, is home to the red kite rehabilitation centre and feeding stations where these beautiful birds can be seen up close. Builth Wells is a pretty market town and home to the Royal Welsh Show held in July.

Slightly further afield, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty opens up at the popular market town of Knighton, offering beautiful walks along Offa’s Dyke or Glyndwr’s Way. Head southward to visit the stunning Brecon Beacons or visit the famous town of books, Hay-on-Wye. The coast is just an hour’s drive away. Aberystwyth is a fascinating historic coastal town and just north, sandy beaches can be found at Ynyslas.

Have a look at our local ‘places to visit’ web pages for more information and links to further details.
